The Pressed Pairing Results

On June 26th, Violet’s Venom Brewery held the Pressed Pairing Event. At Violet’s Garage, we paired delicious paninis with unique wines to create a new worlds of flavor. Let’s take a look at the pairings that made this such a huge success:

  • Spicy Chorizo & Egg Panini paired with La Maldita Garnacha Rioja

    • These two make for a great pairing because the fruit foward-medium bodied profile with spice notes complements the smoky, savory flavors of the chorizo and the richness of the egg.

  • Tex-Mex Black Bean Veggies (Meatless) paired with La Maldita Garnacha Rioja

    • This makes for an excellent paring because the Garnacha offers soft tannins and red fruit that suit the earthly black beans and roasted veggies.

  • Grilled Cheese with Jalapenos paired with Oxford Landing Sauvignon Blanc

    • These two work together because the Sauvignon Blanc’s high acidity slices through the richness of the cheese, acting like a palate cleanser between bites. Grassy, herbal qualities echo the green zing of the jalapenos.

  • Classic Cuban Sandwich paired with the Occasion Chardonnay

    • This duo works because the Chardonnay richness can stand up to and balance the salty ham, pork, and pickles.

  • Ham & Cheese Pressed Sandwich paired with Block Nine Pinot Noir

    • This pairing works because the Pinot Noir enhances the ham’s savory notes without overwhelming it.

  • Tex-Mex Chicken Fajita Melt Paired with Michael David Freakshow Zinfandel

    • The unique duo works because the smoky chipotle-lime mayo and grilled chicken pair well with a fruit-foward Zinfandel that can handle spice and char.

With all these different pairings, customers went home full and delighted. If you want to attend events like this check out our events page HERE and our homepage HERE.
